Description
Hibiscrub contains chlorhexidine gluconate, an active ingredient that provides a broad spectrum of activity against bacteria combined with a residual action and on skin up to 6 hours after use.
Once applied, Hibiscrub has a rate of killing many organisms of 1 minute. The chlorhexidine gluconate is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative vegetative bacteria including MRSA and MSSA yeasts dermatophyte fungi and lipophilic viruses.
Hibiscrub contains a blend of emollients which helps to soften and hydrate skin. It also reduces moisture loss with short or long term use.
Hibiscrub can be used for a number of reasons. It is commonly used for pre-operative skin antisepsis and then can be used as part of a post-operative care regime. It can also be used for cleaning wounds and helping with sores.
Owners can also use Hibiscrub as an antiseptic hand wash.
It is recommended to use the product as a diluted solution and to rinse well after use.
